Kathy has supported the BSO Strategy through strategic planning, project implementation, measurement, and continuous quality improvement initiatives that span across community,
Kathy has developed new quality care initiatives within the acute care setting supporting patients with cognitive impairment and responsive behaviours, and this work has been recognized as an Honour Roll recipient for the 2016 Minister’s Medal, Health Quality Ontario.
Kathy is also completing research with the McMaster-Stone Church Family Health Team on the Feasibility and Effectiveness of a Primary Care Toolkit for Medical Learners for early identification, assessment and treatment of patients with Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms Associated with Dementia.
Joe Ducharme, PhD
University of Toronto – Ontario Institute for Studies in Education Clinical Child Psychology Program
Joe’s primary research focus is the development and evaluation of proactive and non-punitive interventions for remediation of child problem behaviour in classroom and home-based settings. He has published widely on his intervention research involving a broad range of clinical populations, including children with serious conduct difficulties, developmental disabilities, acquired brain injuries and witnesses of family violence. acute, and long-term care settings.
