Private: Swallowing Disorder Research

The Swallowing Lab is an academic research lab led by Dr. Rosemary Martino, Canada Research Chair (Tier II) in Swallowing Disorders. Our lab consists of graduate research students, clinical research coordinators, a speech language pathologist, MHSc students, and volunteers. Our research focuses on understanding swallowing impairment (dysphagia) and its impact on the patient. Our aim is to conduct research that will assist clinicians in providing the best possible care to their patients that will ultimately help reduce the burden of dysphagia for patients, their caregivers, and the community.
