Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS)

Purpose

The Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) Program recognizes academic excellence in graduate studies at the master’s and doctoral levels in all disciplines of academic study. The OGS program at the University of Toronto is jointly funded by the Province of Ontario and the University of Toronto.

Value

The value of an OGS award is $5000 per term and awardees may receive funding for up to three consecutive terms for a maximum of $15,000.

Application Procedure

Applications and supporting documents must be submitted through the School of Graduate Studies’ (SGS) online application system. The Department of Speech-Language Pathology will then nominate selected students to receive an OGS award. Nominations are communicated to SGS who will then complete the adjudication process and notify recipients of their status.

Important note for prospective students: Students must submit an OGS application to each institution for which they are seeking admission. OGS awards are no longer transferable from one university to another.

Timelines

Completed applications are due March 16, 2020. In July, SGS will notify recipients and provide further details about how to activate and manage the award. Master’s students may receive the scholarship for a maximum of two years.
